DRI3 is enabled. In-game vsync is on. I haven't managed to hit the issue with
this configuration. I'm cautious though (this needs more tests), so I'm leaving
it open for now. My guess is that the recent PRESENT patches by Mario Kleiner
might have fixed it.

What I noticed however is that tearing still happens (even though vsync is on).
This is probably due to PRIME.
