Ah, from that we can see the sequence quite clearly. It's just the final step
that goes wrong, as it appears that userspace is not resizing the framebuffer
to match the active outputs. The desktop remains 2806 pixels, but only the
first 1366 pixels that fit onto the laptop panel are visible.

It could be a driver bug (or RandR bug), but it is more likely to be a bug in
the desktop's display manager. "xrandr --output LVDS1 --preferred --output
HDMI1 --off" should reset the display.

Closing as fixed for the crash. Please open a new bug report if you feel this
is a driver issue. (I think a full debug log for the resize sequence, along
with an xtrace of the commands the display manager is using, would be required
to piece together the cause of the error.)
