I'm building the latest drm-nightly to do more tests.
Actually, I used the VGA out connection. Didn't test yet with HDMI, but I will
by connecting it to my TV (I don't have a monitor that can handle HDMI).
How can I boot to another resolution? Using vga= VESA parameters?

In fact it is exactly the word "dithering" that I was searching for. It looks
like this is it.
When kernel's ready, I boot and log it, and report it here, with different
resolutions if possible, both with internal monitor and HDMI (and possibly VGA
too, to compare).
