Summary: GPU (HD4000) crash with kernels from 3.13 to
3.14.0-rc4
QA Contact: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
Reporter: rakothedin at gmail.com
Hardware: Other
Status: NEW
Version: XOrg CVS
Component: DRM/Intel
Product: DRI
Created attachment 94741

dmesg
As it was suggested in bug report
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73276 I fill different bug report.
The symptoms:
While launching KDE the splash screen is slightly corrupted. Once KDE is
started everything works nicely except an error message in dmesg:
[ 39.987593] [drm] stuck on render ring
[ 39.987601] [drm] GPU crash dump saved to /sys/class/drm/card0/error
[ 39.987603] [drm] GPU hangs can indicate a bug anywhere in the entire gfx
stack, including userspace.
[ 39.987615] [drm] Please file a _new_ bug report on bugs.freedesktop.org
against DRI -> DRM/Intel
[ 39.987616] [drm] drm/i915 developers can then reassign to the right
component if it's not a kernel issue.
[ 39.987617] [drm] The gpu crash dump is required to analyze gpu hangs, so
please always attach it.
Affected hardware:
Intel hd4000 in Hewlett-Packard HP ENVY 15 3200 CTO, BIOS F.08 08/15/2012
Software: kernels 3.13 - 3.14.0-rc4
Userspace is from git.
Kernels 3.12.x worked fine.
