Yes, except that I'm not sure if the vendor driver(thinkpad-acpi in this case)
would do something weird.
Hi tomasi,
Please boot v3.13 kernel with video.use_native_backlight=1 and remove
acpi_backlight=vendor, see if that makes a difference. That should make
thinkpad-acpi do nothing for video related key.
