I am experiencing a similar problem on a Dell Latitude e7240. 

I am trying to apply the patch according to the manual. But unfortunately I get
the following error message: 

"Current kernel version is 3.13.9 ( One Giant Leap for Frogkind)
cannot find patch file: patch-3.13.10".

Can someone tell me what may be wrong? This is the first time I am trying to
patch a kernel so please forgive me if my question is stupid.
