Hi I am also seeing this bug.. 
Aegisub 3.0.4 
Lubuntu 14.04 

Fix was to change to UXA acceleration.. As advised:
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/39739


However Aegisub would crash xorg after 1+ mins of playback in standard SNA
mode.

Is there a upstream fix?
