I decided to switch back to Gentoo and GNOME. Sorry for the wasted time. I used
intel-gpu-tools from git. Current version of relevant packages:
- mesa-10.1.1
- xorg-server-1.15.1
- gdm-3.10.0.1-r1
- xf86-video-intel-2.99.911
