I experience a similar issue as this on a DELL XPS M1330 (Arch linux).

I have tried 3.15-rc5 but that doesn't fix it. Reverting back to 3.13.8 does.

# echo 255000 > /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight

Will temporarily fix it on kernels >= 3.14.1.

I don't know if it's exactly the same bug since it isn't fixed in 3.15-rc5 for
me. Should I file a new bug?
