Try to add this to kernel parameters:

quiet pcie_aspm=force drm.vblankoffdelay=1 i915.semaphores=0 i915.modeset=1
i915.use_mmio_flip=1 i915.enable_ppgtt=1 video.use_native_backlight=1

I tested for 3 hour gaming in HL2 (that caused hang also) - no one hang
anymore!

Also, this parameters seems to work good also:

quiet pcie_aspm=force drm.vblankoffdelay=1 i915.semaphores=0
video.use_native_backlight=1 i915.lvds_downclock=1 i915.modeset=1
i915.use_mmio_flip=1 i915.enable_ppgtt=1 i915.enable_fbc=1
