On 3.18.0rc1 (as of 2010.10.25, 88a443f454a4d):

I just got another watchdog failure for eth0 (r8169) upon resume. This time
though, the ethernet succeeded to reconnect after some delay. The previous two
resumes had to be rebooted because the network was dead.

This happens quite often, more often than the machine crashing or failing to
resume properly now.
