Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 with kernel 3.15.6 without any problems.
My hardware: e7440 with Dell Advanced E/Port-Replikator II (452-11415).
The 1080i monitor ist attached to DP port1. 

I've tried to boot with a drm-intel-nightly kernel from today.
Boot docked and notebook display closed.
The KMS console appear, X didn't start.
