Am I correct in the summary that especially Celeron, Pentium HSW GPUs are
affected?

Our testing on the xbmc forums shows the same results. It seems only the simple
HSW GPUs frequently run into this hang.

Perhaps someone could have a look if the "ringbuffer" is one bit off or
something happens, when we get rounding, clamping, fragmentation anything? Some
Flush missing as in the past in Mesa?

It might very well be that other higher GPU series also have that issue, but
they are not hit that frequently cause of more Execution Units? Perhaps more
load can stall them too?
