This bug report is where we were testing that fix:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80229. Comment 58 has the same
command line as you: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80229#c58,
except for the vblankoffdelay, and encountered system freezes.
