Maybe BIOS version? I've upgraded original BIOS to this version:

        Vendor: LENOVO
        Version: G1ETA1WW (2.61 )
        Release Date: 12/03/2013
        BIOS Revision: 2.61
        Firmware Revision: 1.12

Yes, I tried 3.16.1 and the bug IS present

Adding that boot option to 3.14.6, screen resumes OK
