OK, here's what I did:

# cat /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness
4437

# echo 4335 > /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness

Then I closed the lid and opened again, with the screen not resuming. On
secondary screen I did:

# cat /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness
0
# echo 4335 > /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness

And after that screen turned ON
