debug dmesg output
I originally opened Bug 83516 about the issue but the main error at the time
besides the backtrace was the "*ERROR* too many voltage retries, give up" which
was bisected down to c79057922ed6c2c6df1214e6ab4414fea1b23db2. Afterwards I
updated my systems bios again, as a more recent bios came out since I filed
that report, and then the previous error went away. However the monitor still
does not work and I don't see any obvious problems in the debug dmesg output
other than the rather generic:
WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 1369 at
/home/apw/COD/linux/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_dp.c:3649
intel_dp_link_down+0x223/0x260 [i915]()
The time line of the dmesg output was the following:
1. All 3 monitors connected at boot time and system booted to X
2. HDMI monitor hooked up to DisplayPort active adapter did not come on while
in X
3. At 191s I switched to the console and the monitor activated and displayed
console
4. At 198s I switched back to X and the monitor turned off
5. At 291s I switched back to the console to see if it would work again, but
nope.
6. At 328s I switched back to X and the monitor was still off.
I opened this bug since it appears to another but unrelated bug to the previous
one. If they should be merged into one bug report that is fine with me.
