Applying the shotgun fixed it - at least one of the pellets must have hit the
bug between the eyes.

How do you want me to proceed from here? I need a patchset that meets the rules
for stable kernels (I'm trying to stick as closely as possible to Fedora's
kernels here). I've got the usual tools to hand (repro case, git, RPM building
tools etc), so can work with you to get a suitable tested patchset.
