I tried kernels : 
>- 3.13.11.6-1 (black screen; LCD backlights off)
>- 3.14.18-1 (black screen; LCD backlights off)
>- 3.15.10-1 (black screen; LCD backlights off)
>- 3.16.2-1 (black screen; LCD backlights off)
...but they all give me the "black screen" :( 
Currenly I am using manjaro 0.8.10 which is based on arch and kernel 3.12.28-1
(update 10); the 3.12.28-1 hardly works but throws all the mentioned errors; I
tried to upgrade but all its upgrade recommended kernels manjaro 0.8.10 (the
aur kernels) give me "black screen"; 

Concerning kernel 3.17-rc6 you mean this one
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/linux-mainline/ ?
