Using a Dell P2715Q monitor with the DP MST feature turned on as "Primary" and
connected directly to a HSW Lenovo ThinkPad L440 running ArchLinux and
drm-intel-nightly of 12/22/2015 causes the system to hang when the monitor got
turned off and subsequently turned on. Kernel log with the stack dump is
attached.
Steps to reproduce:
--------------------
- Turn on the MST feature on the Dell P2715Q as 'Primary'
- Connect it to the ThinkPad L440 using a mDP to DP cable (mDP port on the TP
-> DP-in on the monitor)
- ThinkPad is running only ArchLinux without any window server
- Boot the ThinkPad - make sure the Dell monitor displays the ThinkPad UI
- Turn off the Dell monitor by pressing its power button
- After a couple of seconds (time is probably irrelevant) press the ower button
on the monitor to turn it ON
- ThinkPad hangs and needs a PO/PO to recover
System configuration
---------------------
- PC: Lenovo ThinkPad L440
- CPU Architecture: x86_64
- Model name: i5-4300M
- Clock: 2.6GHz
- Memory: 8GB RAM

- Distro: ArchLinux
