Please attach a drm.debug=0xf dmesg from across the VT switch. Something like:

In X, "echo 0xf > /sys/module/drm/parameters/debug ; sleep 10; echo 0 >
/sys/module/drm/parameters/debug"
VT switch to Mir
wait 10 second to capture the flicker
VT switch to X
dmesg && attach
