Thanks again for your explanations! I've reported two bugs:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/lightdm/+bug/1418019 - about lightdm should manage
video modes.

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92691 - about kernel setting up
640×480 and reporting 1024×600.
