crash dump
Hi,
a user reported:
"my desktop just did that thing again, chrome is dimmed. All other applications
that were opened froze for about 15 seconds, but are working, except chrome"
This seems to happen a few times a day.
I can see on a screenshot that chrome is now greyed out.
In the logs I found, matching the time of the incident:
[drm] stuck on render ring
[drm] GPU crash dump saved to /sys/class/drm/card0/error
[drm] GPU hangs can indicate a bug anywhere in the entire gfx stack, including
userspace.
[drm] Please file a _new_ bug report on bugs.freedesktop.org against DRI ->
DRM/Intel
[drm] drm/i915 developers can then reassign to the right component if it's not
a kernel issue.
[drm] The gpu crash dump is required to analyze gpu hangs, so please always
attach it.
System is running Ubuntu-14.04 with
xserver-xorg-video-intel (2:2.99.910-0ubuntu1.3).
uname is "3.13.0-44-generic #73-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 16 00:22:43 UTC 2014 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux"
Attached the crash dump, /proc/cpuinfo and "lspci -vvv -nn".
