          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium

dmesg for offending commit

Dell U3011 monitor using DisplayPort connection to a Intel DQ67SW Motherboard
with an i7 2600 and Ubuntu 14.10, native resolution 2560x1600.

A DVI-D cable works, but DVI-D is limited to 1920x1200 on this cpu/chipset.

The bug flashes horizontal bars on screen every second or two while also making
some pop noise on DP audio.

I have bisected the offending commit
(24929352481f085c5f85d4d4cbc919ddf106d381). Kernel 3.19 throws a backtrace
which I could attach here if needed.

Sorry for my rusty english.
