dmesg captured during video

I created a video of the flickering with i915 and the attached dmesg output
taken with drm.debug=6 of the video. No underruns appear to be reported. The
full screen nautilus flickering stopped, but making it takes up the whole left
side it induces the problem. It appears any "offending" object on just the left
side causes it.

When I disabled i915 from loading the flickering did still occur.

Is this something we can work around or am I looking at returning the hardware?
It seems to be a fairly common issue as some customer reviews also reported it.
