dmesg showing intel_check_page_flip
Intel G45 based system has experienced a "WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 0 at
drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_display.c:9916 intel_check_page_flip+0xc2/0xd0
[i915]()" upon updating to the 3.18 series of kernels.
Complete dmesg output is attached. I am currently running the machine with the
drm.debug=14 kernel parameter and will update the attachment with the output
when the same error is thrown again. Until this, I hope the attached will help
provide some clues as to the nature of the crash.
The kernel version is 3.18.2 from Arch Linux which does incorporate D. Vetter's
patch[1] found from this[2] bug report.
Googling on the error found this bug report[3] against Fedora, so I am not the
only one experiencing it.
