Xorg.0.log for 2.99.917

Screenshot 1 shows wallpaper in MATE 1.8.1 missing partially, and "tiled"
artifacts appearing on the remainder of the visible portion (visible portion is
left 640px and right 256px; black area is 384px wide). The rectangular "tiles"
are 32x16.

While determining these measurements in Libreoffice Draw, UI corruption
occurred when dragging/resizing objects (screenshot 2) and using the
rectangular selection tool (screenshot 3)

Currently using xf86-video-intel 2.99.917 (Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid,
xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.99.917-1~exp1ubuntu2); this was also present in
2.99.916 (xorg-edgers ppa for Utopic, xserver-xorg-video-intel
2:2.99.916+git20141215.99537089-0ubuntu0sarvatt~utopic). This was not present
in 2.99.914 (Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic, xserver-xorg-video-intel
2:2.99.914-1~exp1ubuntu4.1).
The issue seems to be regardless of kernel (have used 3.16, 3.18, and
3.19-rc4).
