--- Comment #28 from Chris <cpollock at embarqmail.com> ---
Yesterday, 19 Jan I had a lockup. Prior to that I had been instructed via the
same bug report on Ubuntu Launchpad to update to the newest kernel to see if
that would fix the issue. I'm now running

3.19.0-031900rc5-generic #201501180935 SMP Sun Jan 18 09:36:49 UTC 2015 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I've been asked on the Ubuntu bug report to do a 'kernel bisection' which I'm
in the process of reading up on how to do this. I've attached the dmesg output
from yesterday's lockup. Note there was no [drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR*
Hangcheck timer elapsed... render ring idle noted in my syslog however the
system was totally locked up with again the mouse cursor movable.
