With the latest 4.2 kernel on Fedora rawhide, I meet this issue intermittently.
Always bugs in i915 drivers. :(

I often see this during early boot, but I met this yesterday which turned my
screen to black and all input devices didn't work (I tried to switch tty) under
xfce.

I'm using HP Z220 SFF Workstation.
