Good. Here is another scratch build (again still building atm):

With a polished version of the patch, which only enables the new behavior on
your model laptop (based on dmi strings), if you can give this a test-run, then
I'll submit this upstream as soon as I hear from you that I got the dmi
matching right (iow it still works)
Please also check that the backlight level gets restored correctly after a
suspend/resume. E.g. set backlight to 50% suspend/resume, backlight should be
back at 50%.
