Xorg.0.log

I have a gtk+ application (gtk+2) that can reproducibly crash the X server. I
see this crash only with i915 driver and only with a 32bit os.

I've seen it on a couple of distributions (Gentoo and Arch).

I'll attach a backtrace and Xorg.0.log from a Gentoo system running:
kernel 3.16.6 (I've seen the same behaviour on an arch system with 4.0.5)
xf86-video-intel 2.99.917
xorg-server 1.16.4
915GM graphics (dell 630m laptop)

I've seen the same behaviour on desktops with 82865G graphics chips too, and on
945 graphics (dell mini-9).

The application is trying to create a window that is too tall to fit on screen
when this happens.
