Enabling the feature seems to be the only way to get tearfree xvideo playback.

Computer hardware: Acer c720

OS: Fedora 22 x86_64

Window Manager: Gnome

intel driver version: 2.99.917-11.20150603

lspci output:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Haswell-ULT Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 09)

Or, is there a better way to get tearfree xvideo output?

I tried the following video players:

firefox (html player)
totem
mythtv
vlc
