Ah the danger of triple buffering Windows.

    sna/dri2: Discard backbuffer cache on Window resize

    After the Window resizes, we should never hand back a buffer of the old
    size or else we end up rendering garbage - with the possibilty of GPU
    hangs or memory corruption.
