sorry about the post above.

So I have more news.

I have set the screen to lock when it goes to sleep. So when it wakes up, it
should display the login screen. And not the desktop. So the bug is strange.
because it shows a corrupted version of the desktop instead of trying to show
the login screen.

If I let it go to sleep all by itself (1 hour), there is no problem when waking
up.
If I use the "cog" menu and choose "Go to sleep", then there is no problem when
waking up.
If I lock the screen with Windows+L and close the lid (or use Go to sleep),
then there is no problem.

So this seems to only happen when I close the lid directly. I thought that what
happens should be the same than with the other method but apparently, no.

So I wonder if it is really an intel driver bug ? and not unity or something

But I still get a "corrupted" display when I plug off the external display (or
use xrandr --output HDMI1 --off), and re-plug it in gives also the same kind of
corrupted display as in photo (after.jpg)
