After the corruption starts, if you ssh in and open a new terminal (e.g. xterm)
where does it show? Is it shown?

What happens if you revert to 2.99.917+git1502260732.53d804? If you don't have
the package anymore, you can build it from git with:

$ sudo apt-get build-dep xserver-xorg-video-intel
$ git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-intel
$ cd xf86-video-intel
$ git checkout 53d804b134494be8a324781283faecb2968f6511
$ ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr
$ make -j4 && sudo make install
