Please, please do:

$ sudo apt-get build-dep xserser-xorg-video-intel
$ git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-intel
$ cd xf86-video-intel
$ ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr --enable-debug
$ make && sudo make install

And see if that reports an issue.
