--- Comment #56 from Chris <cpollock at embarqmail.com> ---
I have had two video lockups recently, 10 May and 13 May. Both times it
happened when I was using Firefox doing something as simple as scrolling
through my Twitter feed. There was no 'Hangcheck....' error noted in my syslog
and I was able to CTRL>ALT>F1 to console both times, log-in and save kern.log
and Xorg.0.log before rebooting. I am still running kernel 4.0.0-997-generic
#201503310205 SMP Tue Mar 31 02:07:04 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
from here http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-next/ and
xf86-video-intel driver version 2.99.917. I've attached the kern.log and
Xorg.0.log from the latest lockup.
