dmesg 3.14.52 (initcall_debug dri.debug=0xe) - successful resume with warnings
Using 3.14 or less (here, 3.14.52-1-lts), I get exactly 2 "eDP powered off
while attempting aux channel communication." warnings whenever I resume from
hibernation. These warnings seem to be harmless as there is no noticeable
issue.
Starting with 3.16 (up until the latest 4.2), these warnings disappear. But,
quite often (mostly when the saved image is big), resuming fails (freeze on a
black screen with or without a cursor). I have tried various things from [1]
(notably setting hibernation mode to shutdown), but the issue is always there.
Distribution: Arch Linux
Machine: Clevo W350ST (Optimus Intel Core i7-4700MQ (HD Graphics 4600) + NVIDIA
GTX 765M)
