Hello,

I think Tom Yan is perfectly right on this.

Even if adhering to the spec might sound like a good idea, it totally makes no
sense, since basically no display device is adhering to the spec.

Furthermore, determining the range based on the display mode makes no sense at
all either, since it doesn't work like that in the real world.

One question though:

Is it possible to change the value from auto to full or limited manually?

If yes: How?

If not: Why not?

I came across the following Arch Wiki section:

It says:

> Unfortunately, the Intel driver does not support setting the color range through an xorg.conf.d configuration file.

Is that true?
