Please try the drm-tip tree: https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip branch
drm-tip. We just merged a patch that solves another screen flickering bug
today, so it may help you.

And just to confirm: if you use resolutions lower than 2560x1440 the screen
doesn't flicker?
