I was using early KMS (the initrd image loading the i915 module), and when
moving not doing it anymore, I still get [1] and [2].  However I haven't
experienced [3].  Doesn't mean is gone, but I'm experiencing [2] instead on my
trials, and of course [1] if not careful @ boot...

Not sure if of any help.
