--- Comment #29 from Chris Cheney <chris.cheney at gmail.com> ---
Looking closely at my dmesg output it appears that when xrandr probes (eg
running vlc) the driver disables the non-existant (on my system) HDMI-A-3 which
is likely using HDMI-D DDC GPIO pins and it ends up disabling my DisplayPort
connector. On my system the DisplayPort connecter in the VBT is EFP3
DisplayPort D using the HDMI-D DDC GPIO Pins.
I'm guessing the fix would involve not exporting non-existant devices from the
kernel/xorg driver?
My system has physically: 2 HDMI and 1 DP.
