Yeah, this happens on these old platforms - the "helpful" bios interferes with
the display state and leaves a giantic mess behind. We try to recover from the
most obvious cases (we read out hw state and restore what we want both on
resume and after lid events). But if your bios just randomly suspends your box
then there's not much we can do.

Now if you still see fifo underruns when initiating a normal suspend/resume,
then that would be more cause for concern. In that case please file a bug like
Jani explained.
