sudo cp /sys/class/drm/card0/error gpu_crash_dump.log
The system freezes and Xorg crashes when working with libreoffice calc (gtk2).
The following was found in dmesg, reporting as requested:
[ 56.357588] [drm] stuck on render ring
[ 56.358526] [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 7:0:0x85df3c1c, in Xorg [1404], reason:
Ring hung, action: reset
[ 56.358528] [drm] GPU hangs can indicate a bug anywhere in the entire gfx
stack, including userspace.
[ 56.358529] [drm] Please file a _new_ bug report on bugs.freedesktop.org
against DRI -> DRM/Intel
[ 56.358530] [drm] drm/i915 developers can then reassign to the right
component if it's not a kernel issue.
[ 56.358531] [drm] The gpu crash dump is required to analyze gpu hangs, so
please always attach it.
[ 56.358532] [drm] GPU crash dump saved to /sys/class/drm/card0/error
[ 56.360626] drm/i915: Resetting chip after gpu hang
