Have the same mainboard here and updating the BIOS does not update the firmware
for the MCDP2800.

Got the mainboard in 2016 and it did not have the MCDP2800 firmware v1.36 which
is available via the HDMI firmware update tool. The tool tells you which
MCDP2800 firmware is currently installed. And it was way older than v1.36.

After using the tool (from within Windows) to update the MCDP2800 firmware, the
firmware is now at version v1.36.

Can't tell you if updating the MCDP2800 firmware to v1.36 makes three monitors
working in Linux though. Only got one monitor here.
