I can confirm that danvet's patch fixes PSR on my Broadwell laptop (Dell XPS 13
[9343], i5-5200U, HD 5500 Graphics). 

With an unpatched 4.6.0 kernel, the built-in display would flicker every few
minutes, sometimes more often. With danvet's patch, it hasn't flickered once. 

I don't use an external monitor so I can't speak to those issues.
