This still reproducible on Linux 4.9.0-rc6, tested with xf86-video-intel and
modesetting
I discovered a faster workaround for this, instead suspend and wake-up until
the screen can "recover", I can do ctrl+F<x> to switch between X and Linux
shell. That fixes faster the problem, but is a workaround after all.
Please, if you need some extra information about this, I'm happy to lend it.
