--- Comment #3 from Daniel Otero <daniel.otero at outlook.com> ---
Yes, between the monitor and the motherboard there's only a HDMI cable. I'm not
aware of any kind of adaptor inside the motherboard, if that's of any help.

I just booted the freshly compiled "dp_dual_mode_type2_broken" branch (as of
02676478a756db9395df0eb8387c40c887fd450d) and the problem persists.

Enabling "drm.debug=0x4" in kernel comand line, I saw a line that may means
more to you that it does to me:

[ 0.697620] [drm:intel_hdmi_set_edid [i915]] Assuming DP dual mode adaptor
presence based on VBT
[ 0.697649] [drm:intel_hdmi_set_edid [i915]] DP dual mode adaptor (type 1
DVI) detected (max TMDS clock: 165000 kHz)
...
[ 0.697785] [drm:drm_mode_debug_printmodeline [drm]] Modeline 52:"2560x1080"
60 185580 2560 2624 2688 2784 1080 1083 1093 1111 0x48 0xa
[ 0.697792] [drm:drm_mode_prune_invalid [drm]] Not using 2560x1080 mode:
CLOCK_HIGH

I'll attach the complete kernel logs in case you need them.

Thanks for your time!
