            Bug ID: 98102
           Summary: Multiple monitors
           Product: xorg
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: Other
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Driver/intel
          Assignee: chris at chris-wilson.co.uk
          Reporter: systems at zomojo.com
        QA Contact: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org

I'm running fedora 24:-

kernel 4.7.5-200.fc24.x86_64
libva-intel-driver-1.7.2-1.fc24.x86_64
intel-graphics-update-tool-2.0.2-24.intel20162.x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.917-24.20160712.fc24.x86_64
cairo-gobject-1.15.2-24.intel20162.x86_64
intellinuxgraphics-repo-2.0.2-24.intel20162.noarch
cairo-1.15.2-24.intel20162.x86_64

The driver never recognises the second monitor, xrandr reports

Screen 0: minimum 640 x 480, current 2560 x 1440, maximum 2560 x 1440
default connected primary 2560x1440+0+0 0mm x 0mm
  2560x1440 0.00*
  1280x1024 0.00
  1024x768 0.00
  800x600 0.00
  640x480 0.00

This monitor is connected to the onboard displayport, the second monitor was
connected via the HDMI port, it was never recognised. I now have it connected
via USB-C to displayport adapter it still is never recognised.
lsusb reports Bus 003 Device 002: ID 1fc9:5002 NXP Semiconductors

When I disconnect the first monitor and boot with the second via HDMI it comes
up.

How do I get the second monitor recognised ?
