Unfortunaltey the fix has regressed a lot of other machines, so we either need
to refine the fix or revert it entirely :(

Rob, if you still have the machine around I'd appreciate if you could test this
branch to see if it still works for you:
git://github.com/vsyrjala/linux.git opregion_panel_type_stuff

And whether it works or not, I'd like to see the resulting dmesg with
drm.debug=0xe.
